About me
Dr. Monica DeMasi, MD, FAAFP, is a family physician and core faculty member at the Providence Family Medicine Residency Program in Portland, Oregon. She leads the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Antiracism, and Accessibility (DEIAA) and Medical Student Committees. An affiliate faculty member at Oregon Health & Science University and Harvard Medical School, Dr. DeMasi completed her medical education at Case Western Reserve University, residency at Brown University, and two fellowships, in Medical Innovation and Medical Education at Harvard. Dr. DeMasi has taught at Harvard, Tufts, and now in Oregon. She is active in advocacy, serving on the board of the Oregon Participatory Based Research Network, and co-leads the STFM Planetary Health collaborative and DEIAA Curriculum Project. Her interests include diversity and equity in healthcare, climate change impacts on health, QI, and immigrant health.
